Welcome

Then Jacob awoke from his sleep and said, “Surely the Lord is in this place, and I did not know it.” 17 And he was afraid and said, “How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven!” – Genesis 28:16-17

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. – St. John 1:14

Welcome and thanks for visiting our website! The name “Bethel” means “House of God.” Jesus is the “House of God” for in Him all the fullness of the Deity dwells bodily. That is, Jesus is true God and true man; God-with-us in the flesh. Bethel Lutheran Church is the “House of God” because Christ our Lord dwells here with us. He is here among us in His Word, read and preached. He is among us in the ministry of the Holy Gospel which is proclaimed in sermon and Supper. He is here among us as He lives in those whom He has made His own through the waters of Holy Baptism.

The pastor and people of Bethel welcome you to join us in hearing God’s Word and in hearing a message that is comforting to those who are troubled by their sins, mistakes, faults, and transgressions. At Bethel, you will hear Christ crucified and raised for our salvation. As the LORD made great promises to Jacob at Bethel, so He makes great promises to us here: in Christ, forgiveness of sins, eternal life, and salvation. We invite you to look around our website and let us know how we can serve you.

In Christ,

Rev. Alan Kornacki, Jr., Pastor
